PURPOSE:To stop abnormal oscillation promptly so as to prevent thermo- runaway of an inverter circuit by forming an oscillation stopping coil which is connected with a switching transistor and which is coiled differentially to a primary coil of a base transformer, on the side of the primary coil the base transformer. CONSTITUTION:In a discharge lamp burning device 22, with a connection from an inductance device 16 of an inverter circuit 23 to a secondary coil 11 of a base transformer 24, an oscillation stopping coil 25 coiled and formed in the side of a primary coil 10 of the base transformer 24 is connected. When the primary coil 10 receives an outside noise, as the oscillation stopping coil 25 is coiled differentially to the primary coil 10, reverse bias is applied to switching transistors 6, 7, whereby abnormal oscillation is stopped promptly. |
