PURPOSE:To obtain polyether antibiotic MI215-NF3 substance having excellent anti-coccidiosis activity by adding a metal or ammonium group to a specific substance. CONSTITUTION:Actinomadura sp. MI215-NF strain is cultured in a medium containing sugar, etc., at 27-30 deg.C for 5-7 days by introducing 1 /2-2 volume fresh air/1 minute based on 1 volume broth in aerated submerged culture to give a culture mixture. Then the culture mixture is extracted to recover polyether antibiotic MI215-NF3 substance shown by the formula (R is H, alkaline earth metal, other metals or ammonium group) or a salt thereof having the following physical and chemical properties. Appearance: colorless lamellar crystal. Elemental analysis calculated as C37H63O11Na: C 62.87wt.%, H 8.98wt.%, O 24.9wt.% and Na 3.25wt.%. Melting point: 217-218 deg.C. Minimum inhibitory concentration mug/ml of antimicrobial spectrum shows 1.56 in the case of Micrococcus luteus FDA 16. Then a controller of coccidiosis of chicken containing the substance is produced.
