The bathtub (15) sits on a frame (20) with four feet (21), a ramp inclined at 20 deg. to the horizontal (22) and a mounting position for a hydraulic cylinder (23). Operation of the cylinder causes the bath to tilt and pivot as it slides on the ramp on roller bearings. - The pivot point is arranged so that on air-filled bath and person will assist the tilt to fully relined. Once the bath is filled with water, the centre of gravity moves towards the hydraulic cylinder, thereby aiding return to the upright position for emptying and vacating the bath. Facility is also provided for incorporating a toilet and bidet function in the seat panel with air drying and foul air extraction.
