LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the large-screen liquid crystal display device which has inconspicuous join parts by providing a protection film which protects end surfaces of a polymer dispersed type liquid crystal layer at an electrode lead-out part and a substrate peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:When liquid crystal display panels 1 are coupled, an electrode lead-out part 10 where a lead wire 9 connected to a signal electrode 4 on a substrate is provided at one end part of a 1st substrate 2. Further, an electrode lead-out part 10 where a lead wire 9 connected to a scanning electrode on the 2nd substrate is provided on the 2nd substrate 6. Further, the width of the non-display part at a join part is only the sum l1 of the electrode lead-out part 10 connected to the electrode on the substrate 2 and the protection films 11 and 12 which protect the end surface of the polymer dispersed type liquid crystal layer at the peripheral part of the substrate, and the width is about 1 - 2mm or narrow. The continuity of image planes is impeded and the image planes are not hard to see. Consequently, the large-screen liquid crystal display device which has the inconspicuous join parts is obtained.
