摘要 PURPOSE:To easily and stably provide the steel sheet having high magnetic flux density and excellent in iron loss characteristics by previously forming a surface layer with a specific structure on a sheet of a steel in which C content as well as Si content is specified and also carrying out stress relief annealing so that decarburization is allowed to proceed. CONSTITUTION:This semiprocessed steel sheet is a steel sheet of 0.05 to 5mm thickness which has a composition containing, by weight, 0.02 to 1.0% C and 0.2 to 6.5% Si and is formed essentially into alpha-ferrite single phase at <=850 deg.C when decarburized until <=0.01% C is reached and in which the part at a depth of 5 to 100mu from the surface in the surface layer part has <=1mm average crystalline grain size and is formed into a decarburized layer of <=0.01% C content having <100> axes densely integrated in a direction perpendicular to the sheet surface. When a gamma-alpha transformation is allowed to occur in the decarburization stage in stress relief annealing, a {100} texture previously grown in the surface layer is relayed by means of grain growth to the inner side in this semiprocessed steel sheet, and, as a result, the whole sheet can be easily formed into the {100} texture. Further, in the course of grain growth, the integration degree of the <100> axes in a direction perpendicular to sheet surface can be improved.
