PURPOSE:To obtain the long-life toner by compounding the metal complex salt compd. of specified oxycarboxylic acid and specified azo compds. at specific weight ratios and total amt. thereof. CONSTITUTION:The metal complex salt compd. of oxycarboxylic acid of formula I and the azo compds. expressed by formula II or formula III are so compounded that the weight ratio of (the metal complex salt compd. of the oxycarboxylic acid/the azo compds.) is 1/9 to 9/1 and the total amt. thereof attains 0.5 to 5wt.% of the total toner component. In the formulas I, II, III, Ar1, ar2 denote the residual group of arom. oxycarboxylic acid or the deriv. thereof; M1, M2, M3 denote chromium or zinc atom; A1<+>, A2<+>, A3<+> denote a hydrogen ion, sodium ion, potassium ion or ammonium ion. X1 and X2 denote hydrogen, 1 to 4C alkyl group, alkoxy group, nitro group or halogen atom; X3 and X4 denote -NO2, -CH3, -SO3H, -Cl, or SO2NH2. The excellent printing quality is maintained even in long-term printing in this way. |
