PURPOSE:To rapidly paint out a triangle by providing the graphic generator with a means for discriminating that the length of a segment goes negative in a process for painting out the triangle. CONSTITUTION:A SIGN signal 7 is applied from a central processing unit(CPU) to a segment generator 2 through a bus 4. When the SIGN signal 7 is high, i.e. when the length of a segment is negative, the segment generator 2 generates no segment. Since the hardware, i.e. the segment generator 2, is provided with processing to be executed by the normal CPU 1, the load of the CPU 1 in the graphic generator can be reduced and a triangle can be rapidly painted out. |
