摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a high recording sensitivity and further high CN ratio and reliability by forming passive state forming metal layers on both sides of an alloy thin film contg. at least one kind of Bi and Sb in addition to Se to be used for the light absorptive layer of a recording film. CONSTITUTION:The layers 2 consisting of the passive state forming metals are provided on the surface on the substrate 1 side of the light absorptive layer 3 and the surface on the opposite side thereof; in addition, the light absorptive layer 3 is formed of the alloy contg. the element of at least one kind of the bismuth and antimony in addition to the selenium. The metal to be used for the passive state forming metal layers 2 is exemplified by, for example, Al, Ti, Cr, Co, Ni, Ta, Zr, etc. These metals oxidize rapidly in air and form the stable oxide film, i.e. passive films on the surface. The recording at a high rotating speed with a relatively low recording laser output is enabled in this way and the environmental resistance is simultaneously improved as well. High reliability is thus obtd.
