<p>PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a data recording area by recording a pilot signal at a different frequency from a normal track to the track which automatically searches a program, using the signal as the identification signal for automatic program searching, and tracking the program with the use of the pilot signal with the different frequency. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of a pilot signal SP to be recorded on the track for automatic program searching is set at f2, the frequency of the pilot signal SP to be recorded on the normal track which does not execute automatic program searching is differently set from f1, and the pilot signal with the different frequency is used as the identification signal for the automatic program searching. In addition even when the program is tracked by the pilot signal at the frequency f2, and the ATF pilot signal is used as the identification signal for automatic program searching, an accident is not generated to an ATF operation. Thus without recording the signal exclusive for identifying the program searching position, an automatic program searching system can be composed, and the using efficiency of the data recording area can be improved.</p> |
