摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a low speed reduction ratio with no reduction in strength by setting the tooth number of the first and second circular splines based on specified equations related to the tooth number of flexsplines and the number of sections by which circular spline is meshed with the flexspline. CONSTITUTION:Let the number of flexsplines 13 be ZF, let the tooth numbers of the first and second circular splines 11 and 12 be ZS and ZD respectively, let the number of the sections of the flexspline 13 meshed with both of the circular splines 11 and 12 be k, all of these shall be set up in such a way that equations represented by ZS=ZF k.m, and ZD=ZF-k.n (where m and n are given integers) shall be satisfied. When the flexspline 13 is transformed into a ellipse by means of a wave motion generator 14 wherein k is equal to 2, and a speed reduction ratio R shall be represented by R=(ZF-2n)/2(m+n). By this constitution, a sufficiently low speed reduction ratio can thereby be obtained even when the tooth number ZF of the flexspline is increased. In short, even if the amount of the deflection of the flexsplines 11 and 12 is not made great, in other words with no reduction in strength, a small speed reduction ratio can thereby be obtained.
