PURPOSE:To prevent an electronic apparatus from generating malfunction and to save necessary data by allowing an electronic apparatus to receive a signal indicating the state of a power supply and to execute proper processing corresponding to the signal when the power supply is backed up by a battery after interrupting an input voltage. CONSTITUTION:The electronic apparatus is constituted of a DC power supply part 1 for converting an input voltage into a DC output voltage, the battery 2 connected to the output of the DC power supply part in parallel to back up a load when the input voltage is interrupted and detecting means 3 to 5 for detecting the level of the output voltage of the DC power supply part 1 in stages. Since the state of the output voltage is informed to the electronic apparatus, the electronic apparatus executes proper processing by using the informed state after interrupting the input voltage, the electronic apparatus can be prevented from generating malfunction and the battery 2 can be prevented from generating excess discharge. |
