PURPOSE:To omit cumbersome operation for setting a position every time of starting a vehicle by sequentially storing the present position of the vehicle into a memory in a signal processing device, and using the position for next starting when the running is finished. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing device 16 receives the data from a wheel speed sensor 6, a distance sensor 5 and a geomagnetism sensor 6 and map data. The present position of a vehicle is operated and displayed on a TV screen 10. At this time, a memory 17 is provided, and the present positions are sequentially stored in the memory all the time when an engine key switch in ON. The position data stored in the memory are not erased but preserved when the key switch is OFF. Said data are used as the present position data when the key switch is turned ON at the next time. Therefore, operation for setting the present position of the vehicle every time running is started is omitted, and the apparatus becomes easy to use. |
