TIRE TREAD RUBBER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a rubber composition excellent in performances on both ice and snow by adding a ground plant to a tire tread rubber composition containing silica and/or carbon black so that the extract content of the vulcanized rubber determined according to a specified method may satisfy a specified relationship. CONSTITUTION:A tire tread rubber composition comprising a diene rubber and at least either silica or carbon black, wherein the extract content (E) defined below satisfies the relationship: E<0.4(A-38), wherein E is the number of pts.wt. of the extract per 100 pts.wt. rubber component after extracting the vulcanized rubber with acetone/chloroform, and A is the sum of the number of pts.wt. of the carbon black and 1/2 X the number of pts.wt. of the silica per 100 pts.wt. rubber component after extracting the vulcanized rubber with acetone/ chloroform.
