The drive for a sheet sorting device for removing the lowest sheet of a stack includes an angular lever (10) connected to gear rods. A counter lever (14) guided by a control cam (15) and connected to the arm (11) of the angular lever (10) by a tension spring (17) is swivel mounted on the axis (13) of the angular lever. The control cams are pref. driven to rotate about the same turning point (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - Sorting and removing of sheets from stack. Each lowest sheet can be swivelled down from the stack at high speed without danger of damage inside the drive chain.
