PURPOSE:To prepare a polyester compsn. useful for producing fiber, film, etc., excellent in the durability, antistatic properties, sweat-absorbing property, and resistance to staining by compounding an arom. polyester with specified amts. of a water-insol. polyoxyethylene polyether and a phosphite antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. arom. polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) is compounded with 0.2 to 30 pts.wt. water-insol. polyoxyethylene polyether pref. of the formula [wherein Z is an org. group having 1 to 6 active H atoms; R<1> is a 6C or higher (substd.) alkylene; R<2> is H, 1 to 40C monovalent hydrocarbon, 2 to 40C monovalent hydroxyhydrocarbon, or 2 to 40C monovalent acryl group; (k) is 1 to 6; (l) is an integer and (k)X(l)>=70; and (m)>=1] and 0.02 to 3 pts.wt. phosphite antioxidant [e.g. tris(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl) phosphite]. |
