PURPOSE:To generate the waveform of a desired musical sound with a simple circuit constitution by generating a waveform according to generated phase angle data and reading another waveform out of a waveform ROM according to the phase angle data, and weighting and outputting them respectively. CONSTITUTION:A phase angle data generating means 6 generate the phase angle data corresponding to a pitch which is specified and inputted by an input means 1, and specific waveform data is read out of the storage means ROM 8 according to the phase angle data; and the read waveform data or waveform data obtained by imposing specific modulation upon the read waveform is used as 1st waveform data and a 2nd waveform data generating means 12 generates 2nd waveform data according to the generated phase angle data. Then 1st and 2nd weighting means 11 and 13 weight them and a composing means 16 composes the data of those 1st and 2nd output waveform data. Consequently, a musical sound with desired timbre can be generated by the simple circuit constitution. |
