<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of an error in an image transmission line in which an error exists, and also, to decrease the information quantity by compression and to execute the transmission at a high speed by adding a dummy to an input signal. CONSTITUTION:A variable length encoding part 4 expresses a DC component contained in a signal supplied from a signal line 4a by two words and supplies them through signal lines 4a1, 4a2 to a superordinate word dividing circuit 41 and a subordinate word dividing circuit 42, respectively. Also, other component than the DC component is expressed by one word, and supplied to a dummy adding circuit 45 through a signal line 4a3. In the dummy adding circuit 45, a dummy is added to the lowest bit of the supplied word, and in the dummy adding circuits 43, 44, a dummy is added to the lowest bit of each word supplied through signal lines 41a, 42a, they are supplied to a multiplexing part 46, respectively. Subsequently, in the multiplexing part 46, the supplied signal is multiplexed, supplied to an interface 5 through a signal line 5a, and in the line interface 5, the supplied signal is brought to amplitude phase modulation and sent out to a transmission line 10. In such a way, the influence of an error is reduced, and also, the information quantity is decreased.</p> |
