A continuous press for chipboard, fibreboard or laminated board has a lower and an upper part, and in both parts steel sheet endless belts are driven around guide rollers. A gap is formed at the end between the two belts in which the materials for pressing are fed. A cleaning device (3) has a power driven metal belt (4) which extends over the width of the pressing band (1) and scrapes along it with one edge (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The pressing bands surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
