Waste sheets are detected by sensors before passing into the first folding mechanism of a bin or combined folding machine. Corresp. electrical signals are generated by an electronic evaluation circuit. The marked waste folded products are manually sorted on the table of a bookbinding processing machine. A movable sheet stop (3) is arranged to be able to enter the sheet entry slot (13) of a folding bin (4) pref. 10 to 30 mm. before the folding bin stop (11). ADVANTAGE - Waste sheets are positively marked and can be manually sorted at a time convenient to operator.
