PURPOSE:To achieve an increase in data capacity by forming a stick of a magnetic recording medium whose external cross section is nearly circular. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording stick A consists of a main body of hard plastic, etc., whose external cross section is nearly circular and a flange 3; a magnetic film 5 is stuck over the entire external circumferential surface of the main body, a holding recessed part 7 is provided in one end surface, and a recessed part 4 for depression is made in the center of the flange 3. Then, the magnetic recording stick A is pressed at the recessed part 4 by a pin 18, etc., to make the recessed part 2 engage a holding projection part 17 provided at an end part of a moving body B, and the stick is rotated and moved together with the moving body, thus forming successive data recording parts, magnetized nearly spirally, on the surface of the magnetic film 5 by using a magnetic head 6. |
