PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as a fluorocarbon substitute, having excellent characteristics as a solvent, etc., by combining 1,1-dlchloro-1- fluoroethane with 1,1-diohloro2,2,2-trifluoroethane and ethanol. CONSTITUTION:A fluorinated hydrocarbon-based azeotropic mixture comprising 1,1-diohloro-1-fluoroethane (R141b), 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane (R123) and ethanol. An azeotropic mixture comprising 80 to 99.8wt.% R141b, 0.1 to 10wt.% R123 and 0.1 to 10wt.% ethanol is preferable as the azeotropic mixture. The composition is usable as a fluorocarbon substitute and slightly destroys an ozone layer. The composition can reduce the amount of fluorocarbon used and satisfies characteristics of fluorocarbon. The composition is especially excellent as a solvent. |
