A resistive electrical element (102) is heated by current from a Cu wire support (101), while its temp. is sensed by a thermocouple (108) in thermal contact with it. The wires (106) to the thermocouple (108) are guided through slots (105) in a tab (104) which is left in position during mfr. of the heating element (102) with its return current connection (101a) for mechanical support. ADVANTAGE - Heating resistance and guides for sensor wires can be formed mechanically from one piece at very low cost, reducing mechanical load on wires, and extending lifetime of arrangement.
