PURPOSE:To improve characteristics with respect to a transfer efficiency and a repeated life by a method wherein a first hot melt ink layer is formed on a substrate, and thereon a porous film ink holding layer filled with the same hot melt ink as the aforesaid ink layer and a second hot melt ink layer are laminated in order. CONSTITUTION:A first hot melt ink layer 3, a hot melt ink 5 loaded in a porous film 4, and a part 5-1 of a second hot melt ink layer 16, which are heated by a thermal printing body, uniformly become into a fluid state to be transferred from the ink layer 16 to a transfer medium 9 under pressure. At a part 5-2, the ink 16 has been consumed, and the ink 3 is transferred to the paper 9 through pores 4-a under heat and pressure. In this case, the ink 3 is held on a substrate 2 as much as a transfer image 5-2t may have a printing quality identical to the first one. Furthermore, at a part 5-3 where the number of repeating is increased by several times, even the ink 5 in a porous ink layer 6 is transferred to the paper 9. Thus, the ink of the part 5-3 is almost consumed, and the wasteful use of the ink can be avoided. |
