PURPOSE:To precisely braze tips to cutters such as a hole cutter, rotary cutter and the like by providing on the surface of tip material positioning projections which touch the side face of a main body of the cutter. CONSTITUTION:The plural number of projections 13 which touch the periphery of a cutter cylinder 15 are provided on rear faces 14 of tips 11, 12. These two kinds of tips 11, 12 are alternately inserted in tip fitting recessed parts 16 of the cutter cylinder 15 and said projections 13 are brought in contact with the face of the periphery of the cutter cylinder 15. Tips 11, 12 are precisely positioned in this condition with no radial displacement. Tips 11, 12 are subsequently brazed to the cutter cylinder 15, the projections 13 are ground and removed, precise tip fixing being thus completed. |
