PURPOSE:To enable reliable defrosting of the inner wall surface of a chamber in addition to defrosting of a cooler in a cold air passage by a method wherein a heating means to defrost a cooling means is mounted in a space, a defrosting heat source air flow is circulated in the space, through operation of the heating means and a fan for circulating air, and frost adhered on the inner wall surface of a good heat conduction box is removed. CONSTITUTION:Since, during defrosting operation, frost remains on a cooler 13 and inner wall surfaces 2A and 3A of a chamber formed by using a good heat conduction material, the temperatures of the cooler 13 and the inner wall surfaces 2A and 3A of the chamber are low, a heater 25 for defrosting and a fan 14 for circulation are worked and respectively energized for the generation of heat, and continue rotation. When defrosting is progressed and frost on the cooler 13 is removed, the increase of the temperature of the cooler 13 is detected by means of temperature sensors 26 and 27. Meanwhile, when frost on the inner wall surface 3A of the chamber remains non-removed and a temperature sensor 28 is not worked, control to continue running of the fan 14 for circulation and energization of the heater 25 for defrosting is effected, a defrosting heat source air flow is circulated in a cold air passage 12 to heat the inner wall surface 3A of the chamber, and defrosting thereof is performed. |
