<p>A method for processing organic waste comprises separation into a liquid portion and a solid portion, and heat drying only the solid portion. The apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a loading means (2) for supplying organic waste at a predetermined rate; a separating means (4) for separating the organic waste into liquid and solid portions; a heat-drying means (6) for heating and drying the solid portion separated; solid discharging means (6c) for conveying and discharging the dried solid portion; a settling means (13) for settling the sludge contained in the liquid portion separated; and a water purifying means (17) for discharging the supernatant in the form of clean water. The method and apparatus of the present invention reduce processing time, power and fuel consumption, and make it possible to avoid environmental pollution as well as producing useful final products.</p> |
