<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable exchanging device for recording media by providing an extracting means for (n) recording media and attaining the stop of function of the extracting means regardless of the working of another extracting means. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 3 sends the set of optical disks 4 or the necessary information to a controller 2. The controller 2 calculates the check information via a CPU 2, a RAM 11, and a Galois logic unit GLU and adds the information to its input to send them to the optical disk drivers 11, 12... together with the necessary control signals. Then the controller 2 carries the sliders 51, 52... to a store shelf via a belt 36 and takes out the disks via the manipulators 21, 22... to load them into the driving devices 11, 12.... The computer 3 confirms the instructed loading ways of disks and these disk numbers based on the contents of disks. In such a constitution, the function of only a disabled extracting means when detected is stopped and another extracting means is actuated. Then the computer 3 can obtain the corresponding reproduction information from the reproduction information on another recording medium after the disabled means is recovered. Thus a highly reliable exchanging device for recording media can be obtained.</p> |
