PURPOSE:To obtain the optical disk substrate having excellent weatherability and high reliability by providing a ZrO2-SiO2-based amorphous film body having ruggednesses on its surface on the surface of a glass substrate. CONSTITUTION:A film body having ruggendnesses on its surface is provided on the surface of a glass substrate to obtain the optical disk substrate, and a ZrO2-SiO2-based amorphous film is used as the film body. Although soda-lime glass, borosilicate glass, aluminosilicate glass, etc., are cited as the glass substrate to be used, inexpensive soda glass is preferably used because an excellent effect is produced. The ZrO2 content of the ZrO2-SiO2 system is most preferably controlled to 6-20mol% from the standpoint of the weatherability of the optical disk substrate. The average thickness of the ZrO2-based amorphous film is preferably controlled to 0.15-2.0mu. |
