PURPOSE:To calcine sanitary pottery without generating cracks, etc., by placing a sanitary pottery body on a setter, laying alumina paper between the setter and the body and calcining the body. CONSTITUTION:The toilet body 1 is imposed on the front surface side of foamed polystylene 4 laid on the aluminum paper 3 after the paper 3 is laid on the setter 2 (refractory plate). The toilet body 1 moves together with the setter 2 on rollers R, R,... in a roller hearth kiln and is successively calcined as the rollers R revolve. The foamed polyslylene 4 is first melted by high heat and the toilet body 1 is eventually pressed onto the aluminum paper 3 in the calcination process in this roller hearth kiln. The toilet body 1 is successively heated in this state and calcined in the roller hearth kiln. The toilet 1 generates shrinkage at the time of the calcination and since the aluminum paper 3 has a slippery property, the toilet 1 shrinks and moves and the friction resistance by the shrinkage is not transmitted to the setter 2. The friction resistance at the time of the shrinkage is thus well eliminated by the paper 3 and the cracks, etc., generated at the time of the shrinkage are well prevented. |
