Heat reflecting coating for roller shutters - is applied as adhesive bonded foil or plating or lacquer layer

The coating for the inner face of roller shutters is used for reflecting heat radiation through the window. This coating is applied on the inner surface of the roller shutter made from thermally insulating material such as timber of plastics. This coating improves thermal insulation properties of such roller shutters because a great deal of internal heat of the room is reflected back into the room. The reflecting layer can be made from a metal foil which is welded or adhesive bonded to the shutter ribs. The reflecting layer can also be a metallised plastics material or alternatively the reflecting layer can be electroplated or vapour deposited on ribs. Other methods can also be used such as metallic lacquers or continuous adhesive bonded reflecting sheets.
