<p>Exposure control device for copier for producing copies of sheets with continuous exposure and books with stationary exposure process has a lamp (21) beneath an exposure panel, and a pressure cover over which sheets of material pass when the cover is closed. The lamps are controlled by a switch device which includes a lamp switch (118) and which produces a time pulse which is a unit fraction of the time in which a point of the original passes over the panel in the continuous exposure process. In response to the time pulse, the lamp is dimmed or switched off for a controlled period. For continuous exposure, a multiple discharge of a time pulse or time cycle is provided during passage of an original, so that each point of the original is exposed equally independently or synchronisation of the leading edge of the original with the beginning of the time pulse.</p> |
