PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a detector simple and compact and to facilitate handling by providing one photodetector assembly wherein photodetectors are assembled as a unitary body and which is arranged at one surface of a scintillator. CONSTITUTION:A detector is composed of the following parts: a scintillator 1B; a photodetector assembly 4 wherein a plurality of photodetectors 8 are assembled as a unitary body; a coincidence circuit 9; and an operating device 10. The assembly 4 is a dual-type photodetector wherein a plurality of photodetectors 8 are housed in a package as a unitary body and which is arranged at one surface of the scintillator 1B. Scintillation light is generated with radiation 2 which is inputted into the scintillator 1B. The light is inputted into an optoelectronic transducer part 5 of the respective photodetector 8. The output signals are inputted into the circuit 9 through respective signal cables 7. The circuit 9 outputs the coincidence signal from which noises that are not removed with one photodetector 8 are suppressed and removed. The operating device 10 receives the signal and operates and processes the signal.
