<p>PURPOSE:To improve the cooling efficiency of a drive shaft so as to prevent wear of an oil seal by making shaft sealing oil in which the drive shaft of a pump is immersed and insulating oil in which the main body is immerse of an electric motor by same kind of oil, and communicating them to each other. CONSTITUTION:The drive shaft 2 of a pump and the main body 3 of an electric motor are housed in the casing 1 of a sea water pump. The drive shaft 2 is rotatably held by a thrust bearing 4 and a radial bearing 5. The bearings 4, 5 and a joint 6 are immersed in shaft sealing oil. Insulating oil identical kind to the shaft sealing oil is charged in the electric motor chamber 9. The insulating oil lubricates a bearing 10 which supports a rotary shaft 7 and is simultaneously communicated with the shaft sealing oil surrounding the joint 6. Thus, cooling efficiency of the drive shaft is improved, and the prevention of wear of oil seal and the quality maintenance of the shaft sealing oil can be attempted.</p> |
