PURPOSE:To save power consumption and to decrease the power capacity for backup by comparing a received electric field of main receiver with that of a space diversity(S/D) receiver, and controlling the power supply based on the comparison. CONSTITUTION:A radio signal 1 sent from an opposite station is received by a main antenna 2 and an antenna 3 for S/D, in which the signal is sent to a main receiver 4 and a receiver 5 for S/D respectively. A signal 6 received by the main receiver 4 and a signal 7 received by the receiver 5 for S/D are fed to a received electric field comparator 8 and then sent to a post-stage device 9. On the other hand, the comparator 8 compares the received electric fields and sends a control signal 12 of a power switch 10 or 11 of a receiver inactivated based on the received electric fields. When the switch 10 or 11 receives the signal 12, the switch interrupts the power fed from the power supply 13. Since the the power supply to the receiver with a weak received electric field is stopped in such a way, the power consumption is saved. |
