PURPOSE:To make welding resistance excellent, by constituting the titled contact material from a composition consisting of a specific amount of aluminum nitride and copper. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a sealing electric contact material consists of 0.3-11wt% of aluminum nitride and the remainder of copper. Because a copper base is not sufficiently reinforced if the content of aluminum nitride is 0.3wt% or less, good results are not obtained with respect to consumption resistance characteristics and welding resistance characteristics. On the other hand, when the content thereof is 11wt% or more, processing becomes difficult and the conductivity of the material also becomes low. This composite electric contact material has properties excellent in welding resistance and consumption resistance as compared with a conventional silver-cadmium oxide electric contact material. |
