PURPOSE:To obtain an abnormality detecting device capable of specifying the kinds of abnormality and the position where the abnormality is detected peripherally and stepwisely by specifying the abnormality on the basis of the detection signal and the driving source control signal of a concentration detecting means and a transferring state detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A replenishment demanding signal Vc from a toner concentration sensor 51, a signal Vg for showing an output pulse state of the sensor 51, a signal Vk for showing a rotating state of a main motor, and a signal Vo for showing a rotating state of a screw are inputted in respective input ports P2 - P5 in a CPU. And a driving control signal for the main motor is outputted from an output port P6. In the CPU, a subroutine for processing the abnormality detection is performed, and then, it is decided that the sensor 51 is abnormal when only the signal Vg is at an H level and all the other signals are at an L level. It is decided that a screw rotation sensor is abnormal when only the signal Vo is at the H level and all the other signals are at the L level. And it is decided that the motor is abnormal when the rotations of the main motor and the screw are not detected and the output of the sensor 51 does not pulse while the driving control signal is outputted. Thus, the decisions of many kinds of abnormality are performed in detail that follows. Thus, it is extremely easy to deal with. |
