摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain the rare earth oxalate of low Co at a high yield by subjecting crude rare earth oxalate to a repulp cleaning with a scrap soln. in a method for adding oxalic acid to the soln. of rare earth alloy scrap. CONSTITUTION:Oxalic acid ions to attain 1.2 to 2.0 equiv. of the rare earth element in the scrap soln. obtd. by dissolving the rare earth alloy scrap is added to the scrap soln. to obtain the crude rare earth oxalate in the method for obtaining the rare earth oxalate by adding the oxalic acid to the scrap soln. This crude rare earth oxalate and the scrap soln. are then mixed and stirred and thereafter, the mixture is subjected to a solid-liquid sepn., by while the cobalt oxalate in the crude rare earth oxalate and the rare earth in the scrap sol. are brought into reaction to form the rare earth oxalate and to dissolve Co. The high rate of recovering the rare earth element and the low-Co rare earth oxalate are assured by this method. The repulp end liquid is sent to the previous stage where the rare earth in the end liquid is settled and removed as the crude rare earth oxalate. The liquid is then sent to a Co recovering stage.</p>
