PURPOSE:To eliminate the engine brake feeling by adjusting the speed ratio so that the engine revolution speed is maintained to the value on the start of the sharp stop state or the value related to the state, when the brake application state is judged. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controller 460 receives the signals of a car speed sensor 462, input/output shaft revolution sensors 464 and 466, throttle opening degree sensor 468, brake switch 472, etc., and judges the brake application state of a vehicle. In order to maintain the revolution speed of an engine 10 at the value on the start of the sharp stop state, the speed ratio of a CVT 14 is adjusted through a hydraulic control circuit. Therefore, the speed ratio can be speedily changed to the deceleration speed side without generating the engine brake feeling. |
