PURPOSE:To selectively execute the exchange of an impulse ultrasonic wave and a chirp wave with a single probe by forming a resonance circuit, for which an ultrasonic vibrator and inductor for tuning are connected in parallel, in the transmission/ reception of the ultrasonic wave in a narrow band and forming a resonance circuit, for which the vibrator and inductor air connected in series, in the transmission/ reception of the ultrasonic wave in a wide band. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 11 is equipped with a resonance circuit 14-1 of the narrow band having an ultrasonic vibrator 12-1 and resonance coil 13-1, which are connected in series, and a resonance circuit 14-2 of the wide band having an ultrasonic vibrator 12-2 and resonance coil 13-2 which are connected in parallel. Further, the probe 11 is equipped with a switching circuit 15 to select these resonance circuits 14-1 and 14-2. By a switching signal generation circuit 16 equipped with the switching circuit 15 in an ultrasonic diagnostic device 4, control is executed in correspondence to the kind of the ultrasonic wave to be used, namely, in corresponding to the impulse ultrasonic wave and chirp wave. Thus, in the case of the impulse ultrasonic wave, the resonance circuit 14-1 is connected and in the case of the chirp wave, the resonance circuit 14-2 is connected to a transmission circuit 5 and reception circuit 6 in the ultrasonic diagnostic device 4. |
