PURPOSE:To improve error correcting ability at the time of retransferring by interposing a reset object selecting means between a reset information detecting means and an error track pointer means, and selectively indicating the error track pointer means to be reset. CONSTITUTION:A reset information detecting means 3, which detects information to reset an error track pointer means 6 included in the information in plural tracks, and a reset object selecting means 4, which is interposed between the reset information detecting means 3 and plural error track pointer means 6 and selectively indicates the error track pointer means 6 to be reset, are provided. The reset object selecting means 4 changes and instructs the combinations of the error track pointer means 6 to be reset when an information transfer control means 1 re-transfers the information on the plural tracks in response to a re-transfer request from an error correcting means 7. Thus the error correcting ability in a re-read processing can be improved. |
