PURPOSE:To raise the reliability of marking by a marking device for semiconductor devices by providing a height cotrol means to vertically move the whole of a marking unit with a marking head for adjustment. CONSTITUTION:A mark holder 14 in which a rubber stamp 16 for marking the package 28 of a semiconductor device is provided on its downside is provided in a vertically movable manner along the shaft 12 on a supporting plate 10. Also, plural eccentric pins 34 provided below the supporting plate 10 in such a way that they can turn eccentrically around the rotation center 36. In marking, the whole of a marking unit is vertically moved for adjustment by turning the eccentric pins 34 according to the thickness of the package 28 to adjust the heigt of the marking unit to an optimum one, and then the mark holder 14 is brought down and the rubber stamp 16 is contacted with the surface to be marked of the package 28 for marking. |
