In a method for welding profiles (1, 2), particularly plastic profiles for windows, doors or the like, the two profile regions to be welded to each other are heated to welding temperature and joined together after heating. This involves heating the end face (1a) of the first profile and heating the surface (2a) running transversely thereto of the second profile (2). The heating of the second profile (2) is confined to a surface region which corresponds in position and shape to the end face of the first profile. The profiling of the surface of the second profile coincides at least partially with the end face profiling of the first profile. With this method, it is possible to weld differently shaped profiles, particularly plastic profiles, tightly to each other. <IMAGE> |
