PURPOSE:To prevent a disk from being damaged during claming and setting operation, by providing a sensor which detects the returning of the disk by a returning mechanism after the disk is inserted beyond a normal position, and then performing the clamping and setting operation on the basis of the return detection signal of said sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a floppy disk is inserted into a device through an insertion opening, a photocoupler 52 detects that and a driving hub starts rotating by its detection signal. When the disk is further inserted beyond the 2nd inner position and an operator let his or her hold of the disk, an ejecting mechanism returns to the 2nd position by being drawing by a spring 58. This return is detected by a microswitch 64, whose detection signal puts a cone loading solenoid 41 in atracting operation, and consequently a shaft 43 is rotated and displaced through a wire 48, a pulley 47, and a cam 46 to move a cone 30, held on a rigid plate 38, toward the driving hub, thereby clamping and setting, and then rotating the disk. |
