NEW MATERIAL:A peptide of the formula ((1) and (2), and (3) and (4) are directly bound. respectively; Arg-NH2 represents that the carboxyl group of Arg has been substituted by amide group) and its salt. USE:Anti-fungus agents for medical use, preservatives, antibiotics and preservatives for coating. Virtually non-toxic. PREPARATION:Firstly, a tris hydrochloric acid buffer containing both NaCl and benzamidine hydrochloride is added to the blood cells of horseshoe crab of Malaysia origin followed by grinding and centrifugation treatment. Thence, dil HCl is added to the resultant precipitate followed by grinding and centrifugation to obtain a supernatant. Finally, the supernatant is put to column chromatography treatment. |
