<p>PURPOSE:To promptly attenuate and prevent vibration applied to a linear cathode and cut down the number of parts and processes by winding a fine wire made of metal or insulator on the linear cathode in a helical manner. CONSTITUTION:A fine wire 2 made of metal or insulator is wound on a linear cathode 1 in a helical manner at least half of a turn. Accordingly, if electrostatic force works on the linear cathode 1 by a vertical scan electrode 3, the linear cathode itself or signal voltage applied to electrodes group 4 to produce resonance, the energy of vibration is abruptly attenuated by friction in a space to the fine wire 2 to prevent the vibration of the linear cathode 1. It is thus possible to simplify the structure of an electron gun and cut down manufacturing processes.</p> |
