PURPOSE:To perform the effective maintenance work in a short time by displaying data indicating maintenance procedures on a console for service processor. CONSTITUTION:A CD ROM 22 for CPU maintenance is set to a CD device 21, and contents of the ROM 22 are read out from a service processor console SPC 20 and are displayed. A CPU test program is loaded to a storage device 3 from a magnetic disk device 11 and is run. Run results are confirmed by a system console SC 10; and when they coincide with the picture on the PSC 20, the picture on the SPC 20 is advanced. When they do not coincide, a menu picture on the SPC 20 is switched to a trouble indicating position, and contents of detailed log are displayed on the SC 10 and are printed. Thus, faulty parts are indicated. |
