The invention relates to a shuttle cock for a throwing game. According to the invention, it is composed of at least two distinct parts which are defined as follows: a lower part acting as a striking zone and inert mass 10, produced preferably from moulded synthetic foam, including at least one linking element 20 for connecting it to an upper part serving as feathering 40, in order to slow down the movement, stabilise and direct the flight and to cause the object to reach the opponent in the striking position, the said feathering being produced in an ordered configuration, either from natural or synthetic feathers or from rods serving as frame members for a sail or wing system. The invention applies principally to throwing games, particularly pelota. <IMAGE>
