PURPOSE:To improve operability by clamping and setting a magnetic disk through a sensor and a cone loading driving source only by inserting the magnetic disk, and knowing abnormal insertion immediately through an abnormal insertion detecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk 4 consists of a square jacket 5 and a magnetic disk 6, and a small hole 9 and a detection hole 11 are formed at prescribed position near holes 7 and 10 at the center parts. When the floppy disk 4 is inserted into an insertion opening to a normal position as shown by an arrow, a sensor detects that, and the magnetic disk 6 is clamped and set automatically by a cone loading driving source. In this setting state, when the small hole 9 of the disk 6 is detected by an index sensor provided facing to it, the setting state is held continuously, but if the disk is inserted improperly, this is detected to put an ejecting mechanism in operation. |
