PURPOSE:To enhance side pressure resistance by thinly compressing the thickness of a nonwoven fabric on the ridge surface for molding a tooth form of an inner mold by strongly winding a reinforcing cord around the nonwoven fabric spirally and subsequently receiving the inner mold in an outer mold and injecting an elastomer material for molding a belt in a mold cavity to cure the same. CONSTITUTION:A bulky nonwoven fabric 3' is arranged to an inner mold 5 in a wound state without being compressed on the inner mold 5 and subsequently compressed by winding a tensile body 4 around the nonwoven fabric from above and brought to a reduced layer thickness H by a ridge part 6 for molding a tooth bottom part. At this time, the nonwoven fabric 3' is pushed by the tensile body 4 to enter the tooth part molding groove 7 of the mold 5 but pushed in said groove 7 in a bulky state to become a non-compressed state. This mold is received in an outer mold 8 and a low viscosity liquid elastomer raw material 9 is injected to smoothly penetrate in the compressed and non-compressed nonwoven fabric in the mold cavity and subsequently prescribed by the inner surfaces of the molds to form accurate tooth form. When the impregnated nonwoven fabric is cured and demolded, the cylindrical base shape of a transmission belt is obtained and cut in an annular form to obtain the transmission belt. By this method, side pressure is reinforced. |
