PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and to reduce the residual electric potential, by providing a photosensitive layer contg. zinc oxide, polyvinyl carbazole and a carbazole derivative on a conductive supporting material. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer which contains zinc oxide, polyvinyl carbazole and a carbazole derivative as active ingredients is provided on a conductive supporting material. As a carbazole derivative, such a compound as expressed by a general formula is used, wherein R denotes hydrogen an alkyl group or a carbonyl group, an ester group, an amino group, an amide group and an alkyl group or aromatic group substd. by an aromatic group.
